Happy Independence day to all!
It's rather cool and breezy today, also some rain.
Any day I can get up and "navigate" in a fairly
good manner is a good day!
I'm working on the "mystery" downing of TWA Flight
800 in 1996.
As it took off on its tragic last flight my wife were at home in Hagerstown, IN watching the evening news. We can't remember which channel. Fox News did not exist then.
As we watched, the news program showed a short clip of a video that had been taken earlier that evening, and from the right side what, to me, as an obvious missile streaked up at about a 30 or 35 degree angle and quickly struck an object in the sky which exploded! The video was by someone on their deck located on the EAST side of their house and facing the sea off Long Island.
I have seen many planes shot down at night and the missile "trail" was similar to the the tracers
we observed to see whether they "hit or missed" the target we were aiming at.
My wife also, saw the scene on TV.
If ANY of you saw the same thing that night please let me know.
Surely that video still exists or perhaps was "confiscated" by the FBI or other authorities.
I am totally convinced the plane was shot down by a missile.
My wife's cousin lived on Long Island at that time and told us it was "common knowledge" along that area the plane had been downed by a missile.
Thanks a lot for any info any of you may have.
Roy Brown
