You do not mention the year in which your mother arrived in New York aboard MARINE FALCON (but perhaps 1947 if you were answering the message from Barbara), nor her name.
However, the subscription website Ancestry.com (www.ancestry.com) has passenger lists of arrivals of ships in many U.S. ports of entry, with records of New York arrivals being very extensive.
Searching Ancestry.com for arrivals aboard MARINE FALCON in 1947, there are no fewer than 13,922 matches by passenger name. One of the arrival dates is 23 February 1947. That arrival date includes about 80 pages of information on passengers, totaling about 1,200 people, I would guess (including crew members). The ship arrived in New York about once a month in 1947.
You can establish a one-month subscription to Ancestry.com for about $20, and you can cancel at any time. At one time you could get a two-week free trial subscription before your paid membership kicked in, meaning if you canceled in the first two weeks you would end up paying nothing. I don't see that option on the Ancestry.com subscription page (http://www.ancestry.com/subscribe/signup.aspx) but maybe you will find the option if you continue the subscription process. If not, $20 may be worth it to you.
Or, give me your mother's name and I'll see if I can find her, free of charge.
