I feel that all these posts have brought back similar memories to all of us. The music of this era was very special. When we would enter a port where other ships were docked, an effort would be made to exchange records and parts for the old crank-type Victrola. Radio reception was never good, except in the Pacific when Tokyo Rose was always rambling, but giving us beautiful music with Jo Stafford, Doris Day and many others. This is certainly a "Sentimental Journey".
