I was os 12 to 4 watch on the ss william s ladd.
We were two ships in front of the Saugrain and i
watched both torpedo runs.The ss Marcus daly was
between us.Maney years later i met the secty of
the americon legion post in ontario oregon who said
that he was on the saugrain and spent two hours in
the water.The Marcus Daly was hit by a kama kazi
about 2 hours later.
