Also see this website, which prints photographs of ships from original negatives, with 130,000 negatives available: http://www.ship-photos.dynamic-site.net/ I did a search at the site for the John Lykes and apparently it is in their collection. (Actually there were two ships of this name. You are interested in the one build in 1941, not the one built in 1960.) The company is located in New Zealand but the cost for a photograph, in any of three sizes, is just $10! For that price you can't go wrong, even if you have to wait for a package from New Zealand.
