This is really a tournament team playing in a tournament, "All Star" is just for making the sale.
The tournament has expanded into splitting cities just to create more teams, and now cities from outside of Texas are participating. Why? Its about head count and money.
True All-Star teams have players selected from their overall play during the season, NOT a tryout.
Now lets talk about all this "bringing the city together" crap. The very people who are preaching it are the dividers, who really have themselves or their bank account at heart.
Yes, every event cost money to put on, label it a "City Tournament Team Tournament" and its all clear and make your money. But quit making false representations to sale the tournament, it is NOT All Stars.
And parents, no need to wakeup and smell the coffee, the stinch from the BS is there.
Coaches are picked based on how mant kids they can get to comeout that pay.
Parents, bottom line its about the money. Those who stay at the blocked hotels, well the Showcase receives $10 a room a night for your stay, factor in the gate money, and the $50 per child profit from registration. The profit is much greater than the cost of field and refs. Oh, and ask to see that insurance that civers your child.
Coaches are only about winning, and showcase only about making money.
Take the label away of All-Star, see how many kids come out now. Fake is Fake.
Founders if Showcase lining their pockets over Fake All-Stars.
