Some sources say aftermarket scale model products may qualify as an "artisanal good" or a "collectible". Other sources say they don't qualify but aren't specific as to why.
Hopefully, whether or not our products qualify for the exemption will become more certain soon.
Regarding the customs label, when we buy a USPS international shipping label, the label includes a customs declaration as part of the label. But the customs declaration does not include any manufacturer code, SKU, NS-PID, etc. It simply reads, "Scale Models" on one line with an HS Code appropriate for the destination country (the EU code is 9503.00.95).
So it would seem, if our products do qualify for the exemption, we will need to see how we need to make the label compliant by including each product's SKU and NS-PID as required.
