In the past, the opposite was true. The appearance of a plastic kit of a warship killed off any resin versions. Just ask Jon Warneke how many of his ISW resin kits were killed off when a plastic kit of the same ship appeared. Off course in large part this was because the plastic version was much cheaper. However, with the high prices that I have seen with some recent and upcoming plastic kits, this may no longer be true. I am working on a ssmodel 1:350 3d printed USS Brooklyn right now and I really like it. Ssmodel lists it as the 1941 fit but it matches the Alan Raven and Profile Morskie 1938 plans and profiles.

So has the 3D printed outfits upset the plastic ship market????
I really don't like all the cutting to remove 3D printed parts from their "webs".
