Deck anti-skid that is scale inches high.
Hull plating that is more akin to either raised armor plate 3 or more scale inches thick or engraved trenches that would swallow a 2x4 that may or may not reflect the actual shell plating or may just be graph paper patterned. Don't even get me started on the many scale inches thick hull plating of every Olympic class liner kit ever molded.
Stop the overblown PE sets too, there is no need to scrape off finely molded bulkhead detail to replace with flatter PE faces nor do we need PE decking. Closed watertight door can be molded fine enough we do not need 100 PE doors. With 3D parts we no longer need every little light AA gun detail either. Proper rod stock masts are fine, flat PE parts for same are not. Yes Pontos, Flyhawk and Infini I mean your PE.
Wood decks, I loathe them, they look like 1:1 wood and are often the wrong color. The edges are almost always visible. The grooves between planks are often wide enough to swallow a foot. Laser burned grooves are too dark and or USN vessels to at least the beginning of WWII would be the wrong color per Painting and Cementing since decks were laid in a paste of red lead with red lead paste between planks not tar and oakum as people assume.
Give us appropriate deck camber, proper docking keel is present, underwater openings, etc. before any of the above garbage.

Sometimes I purchase 3D printed models just to take a look see. I build modern 1/700 USN or WW2 USN. So recently I purchased a Benson and Mahan class DD . Nice 3D prints from the evil site done in soft black resin. You get all the major pieces but the really small ones like K-guns, radars, life rafts, ammo boxes, search lights etc. . 20mm guns yes but no other small detail. Both kits are early 1942 so probably too early for floater net baskets and MK-51s also not included.
In Friday’s mail I received a 1/700 Flight 1 A. Burke. No chaff launchers, no crew manned guns and I am still looking for what is missing. Plenty of domes though, enough for 2 A Burkes. Now one would think the EV accessory set for Burkes would come to the rescue and provide missing bits and pieces. Nope ! Just replaces parts already included in the kit.
Memo to self “if I have the 3D printed modern ship model, don’t buy the EV accessory offering”
To resolve these shortages of needed detail I find myself returning to evil site for accessories in 1/700 or turning to my scrap box looking for old Skywave sets.
I guess nothing is perfect……
