Jump into the Time Machine with me. I posted a year back or more that GAGA’s Forrestal was poop. Poor 3D printing, no instructions, no guide marks to place major parts etc. We had commenters who immediately ran to GAGA’s aid even though I will bet my last dollar none owned the kit. What happens Tom Shepherd runs out buys a GAGA kit and gets jammed. That was Tom’s choice to get jammed after my post. Ethically speaking it would have been best for the other counter posters to buy the GAGA subject before supporting and post from a position of experience and create opinion and not censorship. Big difference in buying $165 GAGA model with multiple pieces and buying one at $25. and it is all of two pieces.
As for the other board’s review policy I stand by what I said. If I buy the kit my review may run hot or cold depending what effort the manufacturer put into the kit. How Tim wishes to run his review policy is up to him. I learned long ago the reviews were not based on hands on experience. More like “look see”. But don’t silence somebody because they like a non-board sponsor’s product. I tout the manufacturer I like for various reasons that I state and I do not mention others. I received a counter post that I forgot the board sponsor(s) offerings. I did not forget, I purposely omitted. Logically my post says I don’t like what the board sponsor(s) is pushing. I can recall Steve reviewing a Ships and Company offering and finally ending his review “and there are few parts I do not know where they go”. Had me laughing but I purchased the kit anyway.
Honesty and it was not meant to harm but to spur improvement. But censorship does harm and produces no improvement. I do not mind be silently banned as long as some of Tim’s board sponsors realize I do not purchase from them either. Been there, done that and got the beer and T-Shirt. I stopped reading Tim’s reviews long ago when I purchased 5”38 guns based on his review. One problem, the gun barrels did not fit the turret. He reviewed them but never used them. “Look See”. Now if that is pooping on people and their policies that is on them.
Look at what GAGA is producing today. They are improving their offerings. They still push their paper weight 1/700 aircraft carriers
/oilers but their newer offerings are light years ahead of what they were originally pushing. I guess word got back to them to improve or it was the lack of hobby dollars coming their way.
Not pooping on anybody just accepting the reality of the situations and posting what I “think” are the best offerings in a particular subject. If people disagree they can offer opinion based on experience. Not “look see” or they can scroll.

I appreciate your review of products you have had in hand. Wish we had more of it.
I liked what you had to say about the products you reviewed very much.
It was your last line in your original post that triggered my comment. Here's what you wrote:
"Oh look and no more board sponsors that I have to kiss ass to and lie about so I don’t get quietly banned." Emphasis mine.
Your last line indicated that you, and possibly others, felt the need to provide less than honest product reviews on Steel Navy in order to remain a member of the board in good standing. And your response to my post indicates that members on the other site are leaving dishonest reviews in lieu of being banned.
Those a pretty provocative things to say, twice.
No, I don't think that you are lying in your reviews. But board members kissing sponsors' asses or lying about products as some kind of ransom for not getting banned isn't something I have seen here or on the other site.
But since you opened the door with those provocative accusations, basically accusing others of dishonest reviews and dishonest moderating, you took a shit on a lot of people today.
Therefore, I think some explanation is needed.
Have you been banned from either site for providing a less than complimentary review? Do you know anyone else who has been banned from either site for providing a less than honest review?
