Yeah! Finally a one piece hull by MRY-SFW. The CGN California is a nice little kit. Ok so the weapons are bland and need replacing. Radars are solid clunk and need replacing as well. Yes it has the wood decks but a couple of coats of watered down white glue then a couple of coats of non-skid paint should fill those seams to tolerable. Unlike Waveline’s way out scale deck markings.

Masts were 3D printed but the boat decks were totally ignored. Waveline had me scratch building the boat decks and the masts needed some scratch building . As for the boat decks well MRY-SFW did provide lousy boats. So I will look at Skywave and Yao for replacements. As for the boat decks themselves 3D print wafers and their supports make a good start.

Other than those few challenges, makes a nice California. No decals of course.
