I don't clean parts when building unless I spot release agent. After building before painting is when I do give the model a wipe down with rubbing alcohol and water on a soft lint free cloth.

Guys for many years before to go to build a model
. I would wash the parts first because of releasing agent put into the moulds to the parts after being made.So I would have a clean surface
to paint on.
Model moulding supposedly advanced over decades with CAD and something called Side moulding. So do I still have to wash the parts? My Revell 1/72 PT-160 was made in 2022. Any one with any insight on this matter. TIA Craig
