I did not purchase a MRY-SFW Brooklyn in 1/700. Skywave Brooklyn class got me confused. Skywave did the Cleveland Class CL as did Very Fire.

Niko did numerous Brooklyn class CLs in 1/700. There is a 1942 Boise on evil site now. I would recommend that before MRY- SFW kit. I cannibalized most of the MRY-SFW kits because I went oh-ah 3D print and thought they would be superior to the mold injected and resin offerings I have. I was wrong. Now the cannibalized MRY-SFW parts will improve those kits.

As I stated not all MRY-SFW kits were poop but too many with split hull.

As for Niko, they always got a little too happy with one bend and snap photo-etch with their kits but you will find most parts for a nice Brooklyn are 3D printed now days. There is also an unbranded Helena kit in orange resin and Very Fire kit of Helena.

I got to talking with one of the eBay vendors that sell the MRY-SFW kit of the Brooklyn in both 350 and 700 scales.
They were kind enough to send me the instruction sheets for both scales. The 1/350 scale kit comes with a three-piece hull while the 1/700 scale kit is one piece.

I couldn’t tell from your original post if you binned the 350 scale kits because of the multi-part hull or because their print quality or level of detail, etc. were poor. Looks like all their parts are quite simplified, as in one-piece turrets with all the bells and whistles (and barrels and blast bags) already attached. That might still work as long as the print quality is satisfactory.

I’m tempted to purchase their 700 scale full-hull Brooklyn, even if it is a simplified rendering.

To me, it’s a win as long as their quality is above the level of the later SkyWave kits (my personal threshold for pain versus detail).

I’ll try to post the instruction seats when I get home later today.

Since last year I have been buying both 1/700 MRY-SFW and 3D printed un-branded kits off evil site. The MRY-SFW kits that were immediately stripped of masts and other parts and tossed in pail because they cut the hull in half and expected you to use a hacksaw to join bow and stern were the following:
Perry Class Frigate
Independence CVL
Knox Class Frigate
Belknap CG
Charles Adams DDG
Virginia CGN
California CGN
Their 3D printing of detail varied from very good to just shape and form.Really did not matter when they were split in two.

Keepers from MRY-SFW were:
Coontz DDG
Garcia Frigate
Leahy CG
Brooke Frigate
All one piece water line hulls. Their boxed Wichita was nice with one piece hull but I am not too crazy that they printed 20mm guns in place. That will be a tender assembly to be sure.

Now for the unbranded kits in 1/700 one piece hulls:

1944 Enterprise printed in orange resin excellent. (Don’t confuse it with SLA or GAGA)

Ranger printed in orange resin also excellent

LHD Wasp printed in orange resin ok but not excellent

Midway printed in orange resin hit the pail. Missing much detail and parts. It appears they copied the Orange Hobby hull and got lost from there. No particular era and missing a number of sponsors

America LHA 6 printed in gray resin. They split the hull but put holes on one end and matching pins in the other so bow and stern went together with just a line seam. Island needs work, weapons under scale, mast was poop. Keep the Orange Hobby kit but that too was a pain in the butt
