We can but hope that the blurb does not reflect the accuracy of the book. "Subsequent reconstructions added a 300-foot landing deck aft, enabling Furious to conduct the first carrier-launched air attack, against the Zeppelin sheds at Tondern in Denmark in 1915." The operation was in 1918, Tondern was in Schleswig and was German territory until after World War I, and the landing deck was never used after initial trials in March-April 1918, so had no relevance to the ability to undertake the raid on Tondern.

This is a little off topic but the US Naval Institute/Seaforth is releasing a new book specifically on the HMS Furious this month.

I have seen evidence that Courageous and Glorious after their reconstructions had planked quarterdecks and also planking on the short deck above. Was this also true for Furious after its major reconstruction in the 1920s?
