I have the kit and accuracy issues notwithstanding I agree the detail is nice.
Are you talking about the resin rib under the hull? If so, it's a fairly easy fix. I simply used side cutters and cut it off. I then sanded it smooth. It was not a problem at all.

I received their HMS Lion kit yesterday. It's very nice and seems well thought-out. But there's a resin rib running the length of the vessel that I assume was a by-product of the casting process; I've never seen anything like it. It looks like it'll be a royal PITA to remove. If anyone is familiar with this and has an easy way to remove it I'd like to hear from you. Thanks in advance if you have any ideas.
