If I may, there is also "Very Special Ships," which among other things has a chapter on the British fast minelayer Ariadne in the Pacific in 1944-45.
There are probably better sources on it, but there is also some coverage of the U.S. Navy's belated but impactful resort to minelaying in the Solomons.
