So you fall into the trap that because it 3D printed it has to be better than mold injected or resin- Nope, not always, sometimes even worse. This SS kit is terrible. As from my posting below they split bow from stern. Bulkheads are missing detail as matter of fact the entire kit is missing detail of any kind. Radars are solid clunk. 5” gun barrels are bent like corkscrews, there are attachment point on the end of the CIWS barrels.Harpoon mounts awful. Armored Box Launchers that even Skywave surpassed in detail.

The kit is good for nothing but salvage. MK-26 good, illumination radars good and a couple of masts. The rest poop.

My alternative is the Dragon kit and upgrade the radar to HS’ offerings, ABLs from EV, CIWS and Harpoon launchers from Wula and the list goes on. I have purchased the SS Model brand before and this is the first time I am disappointed. I guess they have different designers that print under the label. Some better than others.

There are many no name offerings coming about in 1/700 which I have purchased and their quality is fantastic.
