I'm not laughing. I essentially made the exact same mistake. Right, left, my other left... I'm as flummuxed as they come on a good day, well rested. I won't fault anyone else for confusion. It's a relief to know there's not some strange new aerodynamic principle that I failed to grasp in flight training. (Oh, THAT'S why I crashed...) Believe me, there are some I understand now that I did not totally when I was actively flying, and I look back and marvel that I am still here in one piece with no wrecked planes and insurance claims in my past.
Thank you for walking me through the details of Corsair stalls. Was a fun journey, and I appreciate it.

Substitute ' left ' for ' right ' (as corrected below); I plead being tired and...dontcha know: I recall specifically going over that post series (with all its' right/left/port/starboard) to make sure I didn't make the mistake I managed to make anyway. :^)
Of course, the left wing stalls with the lift of the right wing rolling the plane to the left. Torque and P-factor only add to the problem the stalled left wing presents. The basic problem is the stall itself.
Obviously, I should brush up on my ground school presentations, hit the hay earlier...or both. I'm glad you caught that.
Also, a prime example of why one shouldn't fly when tired; well, one good laugh--AIGF, of course--deserves another.
