They used to but very hard to find these days unless you know of a dealer of Orange Hobby. They had some synergy with their America/Whidbey Island offerings at the time.

IMHO not worth the expense. Photo-etch weapons pylons etc. etc. really overdone which is typical of many of the smaller Orange Hobby offerings. Time spent on the hobby is just as much a commodity as the money you spend on the hobby. Some 1/700 3D printers/resin producers need a reality check . What can easily be done in larger scales can not always be easily done in 1/700 therefore not worth the purchase. A balance needs to be found between quality/detail and ease of build. Case in point the Wasp LHD complicated photo-etch needed. Even more concerning to mold injected companies is the time it takes Trumpeter to produce and market a kit, is done in a few months by Chinese printers 1/700 Langley another example.


Our 1/700 hobby has never been easy but it’s not meant to be a mountain climb either. Chinese 3D printers are beginning to realize this and are taking full advantage of the pitfalls of others who think complication and challenge equates to hobby enjoyment.

And another perfect example of that is an Amazon dealer who sells 3D printed 1/700 modern USN jets and helos. They remove the attachment points, buff out the stubs, leave the detail and ship.. I paint, hi-lite, decal and ready to go on a flight deck. Do I worry that I do not see every little panel line? No, not at all.
