
Lars, For the patterns your best reference is original black and white photographs. The IWM has a vast collection available online and more can be found by Google searches. For what the shades of the paints used actually looked like (ie what colour and tone they really were), and importantly when they were available and used, see the general information/background papers available on the Sovereign Hobbies site. In the absence of a reliable reference illustration showing which shades were likely used in a particular ship's camouflage pattern at a particular time your best bet at the moment is just to ask.
