Their message reads in part, "DML is now evolving toward a future focused on Intellectual Property (IP), 3D technology, digital assets, licensing, and new forms of collaboration...DML will continue to explore new ways to bring its...3D data...into future applications across physical and digital platforms."
That is at best a vague statement. It strongly suggests that Dragon will be creating only digital content in house going forward. For whom that digital content is intended is not stated. Dragon may sell printable files. But there is nothing specific or explicit in their message that selling printable files to individual modelers will happen.
It does seem clear that Dragon is getting out of the physical model business entirely. This is a very interesting development. Apparently, and this is also pure speculation, Dragon has determined that their digital assets are more valuable than the potential value of continuing to sell physical models. This tends to indicate that Dragon believes the market either is substantially shifting toward digital products or already has done so.
