I recieved both VEE Hobby kits #V57017 USS Phoenix (CL46)(1944) and #V57018 USS Honolulu (CL48)(1944) in the mail yesterday.
As I was entering the kits into inventory, I noticed something I have not seen in my 65+ years of building and collecting kits: the "end flap" for kit V57017 USS Phoenix said "USS HONOLULU CL-48. The box-top was the correct USS Phoenix (CL-46)(1944), the directions inside were for CL-46, the "art work" on both the top of the box, end flaps, and on directions were correct for CL-46.
So -- the only error was the end flap stating that the model was "USS Honolulu CL48 (1944).
Quality control missed the boat" so to speak...
Kits (both) look identical except labeling and are nicely done.
