We are both at sea here, Tracy. "Dark gray" and "light gray" are about as useful as "blue" for USN WWII colors. Neutral gray? or blue gray? for starters. The Hamburg museum's SMS Graudenz has a neutral "tannish" light gray for the upperworks, and a faint blue-gray for the hull. This reminds me of the expert suggestion I received in the past. The main point was that WWI and WWII (1939-42) German warship grays were not the same. All I can say is that the old standbys Ghost Gray and Light Ghost Gray are not the goods.
