1942 - 1943-time frame as on the aft steering station on a Fletcher. What color were the balls?
When I volunteered at the DC Navy Yard museum I packed & moved crates of binnacle balls. Some were black, others red or green.
Hoping for a small pop of color on the otherwise 5N Stevens
