The antenna on Repulse's main topmast (still fitted as she left Singapore on her final voyage) is the diamond-shaped HF/DF antenna (see, for example, the photo https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/205119997).
She was apparently fitted with RDF (radar) Type 286. The November/December 2005 edition of the magazine "Warship World" includes an interesting article on Repulse during late 1941 by the ship's Radar Officer, Ken Armstrong. In it he writes that he and his team fitted a Type 286 Warning Radar set in September 1941 en route from Scapa Flow to Freetown. "By the time we reached Freetown ... we had completed the installation of the set. All that remained at Freetown was to fit the aerial to a short mast at the top of the foremast and above the A.D.P. We tuned the set and soon had it working."

Hello,
I have a question for the RN experts about the radars Repulse carried in December 1941. Hood in April 1941 carried a Type 279 array on the mainmast. I guess Repulse also carried a 279 on the mainmast on her last mission, but I need a confirmation.
