AFAIK it's pretty pointless looking for the "one-and-only" shade of any color. There is always a degree of variation. I use Tamiya Panzer Grey", and if I think it's a bit too dark, I'll mix a little white.

I am planning a 1940 Scharnhorst- I ad m straight with hull color and superstructure color and wood decks. The dark gray used for horizontal metal decks is not clear. I use Lifecolor paint, which has several Dunkelgrau colors but which one…?
