
As you say, the camouflage pattern on the other ship was not worn by the PoW.
The PoW did escort a Malta convoy, Operation Halberd in September 1941, but the Renown was not part of it.

The second ship is a depiction of a King George V class battleship in a representation of the camouflage worn by three of the class (all except Prince of Wales and Duke of York) - if the "1942" is considered corect, this could be taken as a view of the covering force for convoys PQ12 and QP8 which included Renown and King George V.
