I purchased the Kagero TopDrawings #127 for the British Aircraft Carrier HMS Furious. After I examined the drawings for the ship's final state, I had some concerns so I looked into the primary source materials. What I found was that according to the issues of the Admiralty's C.B. 01815B from October 1943 to October 1945 - the half-yearly return of Particulars of War Vessels - the armament of HMS Furious throughout this period was twelve 4-inch guns in six twin mounting, thirty-two 2-pounders in four 8-barrel mountings, eight 20-mm guns in four power-operated twin mountings, and seven 20-mm guns on seven hand-operated single mountings.

Checking the locations, there was one 8-barrelled 2pdr abaft the island, one before it, and one on each beam of the former flying-off deck. There was a power-operated twin 20mm on each beam of the flying-off deck a little forward of the hangar bulkhead and one on each beam a little abaft the conning positions. There were three single 20mm on each side on the aft quarters of the flight deck and the final single 20mm was abaft the twin on the starboard side.

The author/draftsman shows six 8-barrel pom-poms, six twin power-operated 20-mm mountings, and nine single 20-mm mountings. This is manifestly incorrect.

World of Warships seems to have taken up these drawings and now they have been copied by the producers of these Furious models. It is not too difficult to correct them, however, but they are 'fictional' as delivered as far as the light AA armament is concerned.
