Thanks, Rob for the information. I have been waiting for those lower hulls for Trumpeter's waterline kits, so I don't mind waiting a litter longer. Hope Matt would make a lower hull for the new HMS QE carrier kit.

Matt at Kraken has a full time job and family so it can take him a while. I just order 3-4 projects ahead - very glad to wait longer for a high quality kit.

Thank you so much, Rob for mentioning Kraken Models. I have ordered several 1/700 lower hulls and 1/700 full hull kit. How long does it take for them to make and ship the kits? Look forward to seeing more full hull kits from this site.

I agree this this review 100% and I also do only 1/700. I would add that some of the nice SSModel ones (careful they vary in quality) are more “assembled” than I would like - feels more like a toy than a model despite some great detailing.
I would recommend Kraken Models - their 1/700 destroyers are really great.
Tom’s Modelworks has some great multimedia kits too - I have built Nevada and Oklahoma and think they were great.

I am building only 1/700.
In general, 3D printed kits could be superior to both resin and plastic kits.
But: there are many different designers and printers and there quality varies widly. You can get very impressive kits, but also rubbish. You have to be more precise to get a more useful answer.
As glue, you need normal super glue. You can use all the normal paints. For acrylics, you need to use a primer (as usual).
