I have to tell you, the online translation I got for:
"Die Klasse ist für den Einbau eines Achtfach-Senkrechtstarter entworfen, der bei den ersten Schiffe der Klasse vor der Brücke nachgerüstet werden soll, bei den späteren Schiffen ist er von Anfang an eingebaut."
Was:
"The class is designed to accommodate an eight-cylinder vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, which will be retrofitted forward of the bridge on the first ships of the class, while on later ships it will be installed from the start."
Which then had me go off excitedly searching for this "new unknown drone" that this just mentioned. Did not take too terribly long (long enough, though) to realize this was talking about the VLS, not a drone. Machine translations mixed with my imagination lead me on adventures! (As I also noted below...I am used to living in a state of confusion, lol.)
Your link includes a kit review of the PitRoad item. So, for the heck of it, I throw in this link for the Tamiya kit:
https://www.super-hobby.com/products/JMSDF-Defense-Ship-FFM-1-Mogami.html?srsltid=AfmBOoq3RPPlfaM4nEudzSXX1Iuu6NuTwWqMEyradP09NnozuGeO7rSi
It has the instruction sheets so you can see how it assembles. Many similarities, but certainly notable differences. The Tamiya is a much plainer, simpler representation. Standard disclaimer: I have never bought from this company, know nothing about them, nor do I have any connection of any sort with them. They are a source to show the instructions, and that's all I post the link for. Order from them "at your own risk." I got my kit from a nearby online shop I am familiar with (Scale Hobbyist in New Hampshire. Them I can recommend.)

The Japanese Mogami (FFM-1) frigate is the first of 12 ships, which are being built since 2019. These are multi-purpose frigates, which are also equipped for mine hunting.
Here, 22 photos of Mogami in May 2024 in Yokosuka:

As described by Ralph Wood a bit below, there are two kits of the class in 1/700: by Pit-Road and Tamiya.
