I would recommend buying Shipcraft 13 New Orleans class cruisers. It’s by Lester Abbey. It has 11 drawings of the various ships at particular times. The drawings are 1/700 scale. I found them to be very useful. Also, remember, you are working with an old trumpeter kit that quite frankly isn’t very good at all. If you’re trying to do a really good job plan on doing some scratch building and replacing lots of parts. Tom’s Modelworks make some nice photo etch you can use.
