This depends on what you define as "the differences" between members of the class. There are "major" differences like original SIX units (plus two converted to CVL's) "Round-Bridge" and "Square-Bridge" (VINCENNES) groups. If you include the revised CLEVELAND class, the FARGO class, as not a separate class, then there is a third group. That makes 29 COMPLETED units, plus CVL's. The original Round-Bridge units are almost individually different as they were updated. Then there are the major changes in armament, fire control, and radar as the authorized armament changed over time. Those differences can be listed, I have done a spreadsheet with most of them. BUT, tricky are smaller construction changes due to builder yard (four different builders) authorized changes to the configurations and USN wide changes to the class to reflect say a new radar suite.
It is ironic that as far as I know, no one has done a profile book on this class.
If you go to the "other site", there has been much discussion about the differences ...

Is there a book out there that shows differences between members of the class ? Something more in depth to the class than you find in Friedman’s USN cruiser book ?
Thanks,
