You may find more builders of the larger scales you mention on the warship models underway site- especially 1/96.
Two excellent builders that do work for people come to mind, William Blackmore and Keith Bender.
Best regards

Hello Steelnavy its been quite a while since I had time and appropriate interest to look here, I'm mostly involved in 1:1250 ships and the WW II USN models in 1:500 scale.
I'm looking for something less usual, namely a large-scale model of USS Colorado (BB45). I would prefer waterline to full hull but if only the latter is available I'll consider what it looks like. I'm looking to add this to my collection as a special piece since I have retired to Colorado.
I think 1/96 scale might be ideal but perhaps 1/196 will do. Smaller than that won't fill the spot I'm looking to display this in. If there is a model maker out there willing to take this on I would be happy to discuss costs. Unfortunately my own model-making skills are way too rudimentary to take something like this on.
Thanks for allowing me to ask.
