I had your problem 25 years ago with the photo etched deck of blue water navy cv6 to resin superstructure. Super.glue failed. At someone on this sites suggestion I tried 5 min epoxy which allowed a little expansion. The model is still going strong.

I will be using the White Ensign Models Kirishima brass deck from their 1/350 Kongo set. I tried gluing a brass replacement deck to another kit a few years ago super glue. It didn't turn out well. Would anyone have a recommendation on another type of glue/adhesive to use? Any advice will be welcomed.
