I have built their 1/200 Canon class DE, also available in 1/350 and 1/144. I was very happy with the kit once I got it (which did take some time and communication). As you can see from the photo (taken at a meeting of my local model club) it makes into quite a nice little model. The kit is complete and the parts are incredibly and exquisitely detailed. Some are tiny and very delicate and I did have a few mishaps separating some of the smaller parts from their supporting struts, but I put that down to my inexperience with printed parts. The hull had a couple of areas that were a little "grainy" but those were easily sorted. The instructions imply that the PE railings are custom produced for the kit , but I received some generic railings that had to be cut, fit and pieced together. However, that was no worse a situation than I have encountered with some resin kits.
I have lived most of my life in Tampa, Florida and knew Tampa has a history of shipbuilding, but I did not know until recently that ships for the navy were built here during WWII, both Canons and Admirable class minesweepers. I built my model as the USS Gandy , one of the Tampa-built ships.
