
I'd recommend getting a small tank compressor from one of the "box" home improvement stores, which will likely be cheaper and possibly more reliable than a hobby compressor. You'll need an air regulator / moisture trap as well (especially in Florida!) but you should get years of service out of it.
Tank size isn't super important, so long as it has one. Noise is the main factor, so look at decibels more than dollars. Steer away from cheap "pancake" compressors which are typically very loud.
One big advantage you'll find with switching to a compressor is that paining is more relaxed and less rushed, and you'll have all the air you need for cleaning, practice, etc.
This is the one I have had for 12 or 15 years. If it died tomorrow I'd replace it with the same thing.
