It took me about 16 months start to finish, maybe 20 hours a week. It lacked the Admiral's door way which I added, plus there are various other inaccuracies. My kit was a 1980 molding, so not much flash. The plastic was kinda brittle, and some of the molding is off, like not all the iron hoops on the masts matching up. I did add brass rods in the masts and yardarm halves for strengh.
The finished model is quite impressive, but it takes up a huge space.
I think the other Arifx & Heller models are the same molds. I did the Revell kit maybe 40 years ago, It went together OK, I remember gaps at the transom, but everything else was Ok (I think) I've never seen the smaller Heller & Airfix kits so can't comment on them. "Alex Modeling" on utube did a video on building the Revell kit a couple years ago.
