this "I can get a good overhead picture" should have been read as this "If can get a good overhead picture", sorry about that.
did you check all those CVE's navsource pictures to see if any profile & topview pictures?
I checked https://archive.org/ & did not find any of those carriers with the 2 cranes.

Thank you for the reply! Yes, I need something to determine the dimensions of the cranes.

I had hoped that there would be plans - but I have not found any.

The overhead picture would be helpful!
