says removing the 2 forward boilers allowed space for 30,000 gal of avgas (4010 cubic feet?) and the bridge superstructure expanded to accommodate living space for a VP squadron. No more details there that I can see.

For example, USS William B Preston AVD-7. Trying to ascertain what got changed exactly and the resultant capacity to handle seaplanes (how many gallons of avgas/oil, stores, parts, munitions) and its operational relation to the crews of the seaplanes. I see available a title Flush Decks and Four Pipes by Aldon but I'm not sure of the level of info there.
