IJN Fuso 1943-1944 Fit

I'm building a 1/700 Fuso kit and I'm unsure about the aircraft loading crane on the stern. In some photos I've seen one, but in others I don't see a crane. Does anyone know for certain if a crane was in place in the Fuso in 1943-1944?
