I've built the Airfix 1/600 Mauretania a couple of times, and although it's quite an old kit, it looks fantastic and there's lots of potential for adding detail, as the basic dimensions and proportions seem correct.

Absolutely, maybe even a kit that allows you to build either Lusitania or Mauretania the original 350 Lucy i am afraid is gone forever..the last issue was under Mr Hobby in 06 I believe.. if they havent done another run by now, likeley she is gone unless someone leases or buys the molds.. Olympic would be an obvious choice, certainly. She lived for so long and in so many guises... The 700th kit is nice, and I intend to get one, but a 350th would be the cat's meow. They could make the Titanic and include the alternate parts for Olympic. Hopefully, it would literally be as simple as that.
Now, if someone would just do a proper Mauretania! That's what I'd truly love to see. I could build the ship my Grandma emigrated on.
