I do realize that the UK got the best, ie lowest, tariff rate because they were first in and the special relationship. However, there are plenty of hobby sources in the UK that would not mind taking your dollars. I am not British as Huntsville, Alabama has yet to become part of the British Isles. Previous Message
Steve, you probably remember the trade deal between Trump & Starmer announced at that meeting. Hence the 10%. But unless you are going to be exclusively sourcing all your overseas hobby needs from the UK, 10% is the exception, not the rule even if the item makes it thru all the hoops to your doorstep. I just finished ordering some miniatures from Pendraken in the UK. The order came to $110 and on checking out $10 was added for the tariff. I can live with 10%. The moral of this story is to Buy British! Previous Message
I haven't ordered anything from overseas dealers since before this tariff business started. Has anyone else been ordering lately and what experiences have you had? Any nasty surprises?
