It would seem that US Customs requires the tariff be prepaid by the shipper. This has lead to the buyer being charged that cost expressed as a large increase in shipping charges. There are also additional fees being charged for the service by some shippers.
Some countries have stopped accepting packages to the USA because they either aren't sure what to charge or don't have the ability to do it.

I haven't ordered anything from overseas dealers since before this tariff business started. Has anyone else been ordering lately and what experiences have you had? Any nasty surprises?
