Having a look at my Kagero Top Drawings book #24, there appears to be a ladder between the two main guns on the frontal plate , but no ladders of any kind on the barbette underneath the turret. The drawings seem to be missing those details. Sorry if this isn't much help.

I have been asked on another forum about the way the crew could access the UP platform on the top of main turret #2 from 1940.
Pictures show kind of ladder between the two guns on the turret, but nothing on the (high) barbette below.
The recent Takom 1:72 Hood turret kit includes that ladder but nothing below on the barbette.
Can you help me?
