I always use CA for any PE. Some modelers prefer white glue, but it takes way too long to set up. Prepare the railings - I prime and paint them first, Then gently curve (where necessary), or bend (where necessary), and anchor one end firmly in place with CA. When the CA has set (a few seconds) work along the length of the railings applying the CA sparingly with a needle point, or piece of wire, etc. until the length is completed. I prefer medium consistency CA. Apply railings at the end of assembly (or of sub-assemblies) to prevent damaging them. Any chipped paint due to handling, bending, etc. can be touched up once the railings are completed.

Hello everyone,
I really need some assistance from the folks on this board. I took the plunge and purchased the big 1/200 Trumpeter BISMARCK (for my upcoming retirement in 11 months) and as you can imagine, she takes a lot of photo etched railings. I've never really used them before and I could sure use a recommendation for the glue to purchase. I've got a sample model that I'll use as a test hulk before I begin working on the big beast. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Andy in Florida
