Shame it didn't work. But the idea is interesting,thanks for the insight. I have the Dragon 1/700 Virginia kit someday I'll build it and maybe try to add this detail.

The hangar door folded upward and slid back next to the missile launcher. The hangar on the Texas (which I served on 1980-82) was used as the antenna locker and gym equipment room. While in heavy seas I was in there and it was raining constantly. Previous Message

The Virginia class CGN had below main deck
hangar for a SH-2 Seasprite in the stern before the
helicopter pad.The hangar was equipped with an elevator and covered by a folding hatch. How did this folding hatch work? Any one know.Thanks in advance.
