I remember hearing to take the PE fret and lightly run it over some sanding paper to give it a bite to the primer/paint to adhere. Cannot remember what gauge paper, probably light so it does not deface the PE.

Just curious, what are people using nowdays to prime PE to stop flaking and scratching?? I have been using self etching auto primer and it works ok, but whats the best primer in the model paint world?? as I am sure you also have experienced, getting finish to stay on your parts can be a challenge.. thanks P.S, I have used old model master enamel from my stash as a pre coat, that works ok, but as you know, thats very expensive when you can find it nowdays..
