good afternoon, yeh, this is what I used and it flaked rite off the photo etch.. I had to strip the brass with Acetone and start over with self etching auto primer.. we will see how that works out..thanks a bunch for the input also beautiful model..

I use Tamiya Fine Light Grey primer. I like it as I have sprayed acrylic or enamel over it and has worked like a charm. Also, it adheres very tightly and does not obscure any detail. Highly recommended.

Just curious, what are people using nowdays to prime PE to stop flaking and scratching?? I have been using self etching auto primer and it works ok, but whats the best primer in the model paint world?? as I am sure you also have experienced, getting finish to stay on your parts can be a challenge.. thanks P.S, I have used old model master enamel from my stash as a pre coat, that works ok, but as you know, thats very expensive when you can find it nowdays..
