I may still do them as limited editions, I've been wanting to do them since I wrote the scratch building article for the IPMS Journal several decades ago, but don't hold your breath.
I worked with Matt at Kraken to redesign the turrets and TMW made some excellent covered launches and 20mm guns they will let me use. I also have 4000 brass barrels for a planned four or five versions of the Pensacola/Salt Lake City based on two hulls, but that is as far as I got.
None of the kits that have been produced are completely accurate, but I fully expect that any revelations I may present will soon be done in 3D and I will be undersold again.
If I can get passed this aversion I have for making instructions, I may start producing again. The AGP is ready, except for instructions and most of the parts are made for a WAVP and a couple AVPs based on the Barnegat hull, but they need additional brass and instructions. Patterns are also done for an AO-4 from mid war and AO-6 from early war. Those also need brass and instructions.
I also have the Cimarron patterns from Loose Cannon that I'm reworking to include 3D parts from TMW. This is in cooperation with David because I thought the kits were too nice to vanish after he discontinued them.
I should also say that I'm on Social Security and I have diabetes with its associated neuropathy, so I'm not moving as fast as I once did. I'm not asking for pity, just letting you know where I stand. Getting old sucks! lol
I appreciate all the support and encouragement I've gotten over the years. I hope I will soon be able to start contributing again. If anyone has any questions or comments, I can be reached at mikecap07 (AT) gmail (DOT) com
