There's always a guy walking down the street with a half a dozen 1/350 scale models underneath his arms and bitching about a $10 hamburger.. An attitude not unique to model builders. It all comes down to 1) Will the kit even be available and 2) Will the kit be worth the money. Those are the issues in the years to come. Some mfg will go out of business and kits that may have seen the light of day will not. The Golden Age of Modelling just T-boned a stone wall.

1971 I discovered 1/700 scale models. I didn’t need the Internet to do it. There were distributors. We will go back to distributors who will sell to hobby shops or people with online shops. If a product is good, it will end up making our shores. I think Stevens in New Jersey? Distributes Trumpeter. No big deal. What will end will be buying on the Internet for super super cheap from China with no shipping. Because now you’ll be nailed with the tariff/fee to get it into the country. So it won’t be that cheap. I’ve been building models for over 60 years. And if there’s one constant in this world model builders are some of the cheapest people on earth. I am always reminded of going to an IPMS nationals in Phoenix. It’s the one when they were building the new convention center.
